Curraghmore Renewable Energy Project Door-to-Door Public Consultation Event November 2025
“As part of our ongoing commitment to meaningful community engagement, the project team recently carried out a Door-to-Door consultation with all households located within a 2 km radius of the proposed Curraghmore Renewable Energy Project. This consultation has sparked valuable and constructive conversation within the community, allowing the project design team to engage in open conversations directly with residents and better understand their perspectives. These discussions will help guide the next stages of our engagement and project design. Further information on the topics raised during the Door-to-Door visits will be provided through upcoming information materials and future public events.
Our team visited 212 homes over two days, the 19th and 20th of November 2025, engaging directly with residents located within a 2 km radius of the proposed Curraghmore Renewable Energy Project.
119 direct contacts were made, with residents speaking face to face with our project team.
8 team members participated in the outreach, working in pairs between 10am and 5pm each day.
We recognise that residents may have additional questions as the project design develops. Over the coming months, we will be offering further opportunities for community members to meet the project team face to face, ask questions, and access up-to-date project information. Details of these events will be shared on this website and through letter drops, newspaper advertisements, and local posters.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to every resident who took the time to speak with us. Everyone we met was welcoming and generous with their time, and we deeply appreciate the opportunity to engage. The team at Empower Renewables Ireland looks forward to continuing these conversations as the project progresses.
We have provided a map outlining all Eircode’s visited, a 1km and 2km buffer from the proposed project and the Design Iteration One Proposed Project Layout.”
